Acute care

Oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic

The clinic provides assistance in cases of toothache, dental trauma, acute functional disorders, swelling, inflammation, infection and pain in the oral, maxillofacial and other acute areas.

Each patient with an acute problem is put on a waiting list and informed of the next available appointment time on the same or next day.

In acute cases, the full range of care required cannot always be provided on an outpatient basis. After a medical examination and/or initial care, as indicated, the patient may be referred to the Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital for further care.

Acute care at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic is available on weekdays from 8:00-20:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00-15:00, closed on Sundays.

Dental Clinic

For adults

First aid for toothache.

No endodontic root canal treatment during acute admission (appointment with an endodontist required).

The dentist on duty accepts patients on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call reception before coming to the Institute: +371 67455586

Opening hours on weekdays 8:00-20:00 and Saturdays 9:00-15:00, closed on Sundays.

For children

Acute care is provided for dental injuries and acute inflammation (abscessed, swollen teeth) for children up to 18 years of age.

Patients who have started treatment at another clinic must bring a referral from their doctor.

Planned manipulations such as dental fillings, aesthetic restorations, extractions of mobile milk teeth are not performed during acute admission.

Opening hours of the Children’s Department are on weekdays from 8:00-19:00.
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
